2011 Venture Outdoors Festival

Saturday,
May 21, 2011

11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Point State Park in Downtown Pittsburgh

Now in its 11th year the festival features activities for the whole family including kayaking, fishing, hiking, yoga, biking, climbing and more!

How to get to the Festival:

Ride your bike
Use the South Side, North Side, and Eliza Furnace trails! A bike valet will be provided all day by Bike Pittsburgh. For more information on biking safely in Pittsburgh, please visit
www.bike-pgh.org.

Take a bus
Hop a bus! There are several routes that travel through Downtown. For routes that serve downtown visit www.ridegold.com.

Drive your car
If river conditions permit, the Mon Wharf parking lot – which is usually closed on Saturdays – will be open and offering parking at just $5 per car for the entire day! From the lot, it is a short walk up the stairs to Stanwix Street and a few blocks to the entrance of Point State Park.

Unfortunately, the Wharf may again be under water on Saturday. Please watch the news and have alternate plans for parking. Here are some other options:

If the Mon Wharf Lot is open, Chevy will offer free rides from the parking lot to the entrance of Point State Park. Catch the Chevy Shuttle for a spin in new vehicles including the Camaro & Tahoe Hybrid and check out the eco-friendly, new electric car, the Chevy Volt, as you enter the park. More details can be found at drivingthenortheast.com/venture-outdoors-festival/.

Go for a walk
Point State Park is within walking distance of several Pittsburgh neighborhoods. Walk across a bridge or take the incline!
